In the future the group of companies of the Harold Scholz GmbH & Co. KG, with headquarters in Recklinghausen, is going to concentrate on its core business “Pigments”. The product ranges produced at the location Lohr am Main – i.e. tile adhesive, Supax joint mortar and plaster – will be discontinued. Product names, manufacturing formulas and the customer database in these business segments will be taken over by MC-Bauchemie, Bottrop, from 1st February 2008.
The tile adhesive and joint mortar ranges will be marketed by Botament, a sister company of MC-Bauchemie. Attention will focus in particular on increasing the market position of the novel mineral joint, Supax ProTect, which is the first joint mortar that offers lasting protection against mould and bacteria even in internal areas due to its light-catalystic effects.
The product range of prefabricated plasters will be integrated into the Oxal channel of distribution of MC-Bauchemie. In this section, especially the EXCELLENT moisture-regulating plaster that has already been successfully launched into the market and which has been tried-and-tested in the restoration of many important historic structures will be marketed to greater effect.
