Rehabilitation system for manholes and accessible sewers
Reprofiling and coating using just one system

Sewer network operators are increasingly carrying out comprehensive rehabilitation programmes that include wide-ranging repairs to both main sewers and manhole structures. Such initiatives require durable rehabilitation systems that can be implemented in a flexible way. MC-Bauchemie has developed a new product to meet precisely these requirements – ombran MHP. This one-component, plastics-modified rehabilitation system is used to repair manholes and accessible sewers. Ombran MHP is suitable for both re-profiling and coating. This simplifies site logistics and makes the application process safer. According to the manufacturer, the combination of highly sulphate-resistant mortar, ideal granular structure and innovative additives has resulted in a rehabilitation system with excellent performance characteristics. One of the key objectives of the ombran product developers was ensuring a good level of workability. The system is also capable of withstanding water after only a few hours. All of these properties help speed up the work on site. Ombran MHP has been designed for use in the range from pH 3.5 to pH 14. It can be used on both concrete and masonry surfaces.
