| MC-Bauchemie Honours Graduates |

In recent days graduates at Dortmund University, from the Civil Engineering Department, were awarded their degree honours in a traditional degree ceremony. At this opportunity MC-Bauchemie’s Sponsorship Award for exceptional achievement is also being handed out. This year, Dipl. Ing. Michael Schrick received the MC-Award. His dissertation titled “Comparative analysis for the adaptation of the DIN technical report “Concrete Bridges” to the final Eurocodes and to national attachments” impressed lecturers during his degree course in Civil Engineering. The so-called “Dortmunder Modell” promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between the degree courses Architecture and Civil Engineering through joint project.
In his speech, René Knöfel, Technical Director Protection Technologies at MC, pointed out that the construction industry is full of interesting career pathways for young people with a flexible, open-minded and cosmopolitan attitude. In this context he stressed in particular MC’s international operations. He finished his address with an offer to the attending graduates: “Anybody who is interested in a career in construction chemicals, please come and see me for an informal discussion of career opportunities in this sector”. |
