The lasting and reliable bonding – especially that of large construction elements – frequently poses great challenges to experts in the precast industry and also onsite. Because a quick bonding of large concrete components without weakening the adherend, as may for instance be caused by drilling, is frequently only possible with specialist tools or expensive and complex formworks.  MC-Bauchemie offers the adhesive mortar SX 481 E both for producing durable connections for concrete elements and for compound materials made from steel, metal and polystyrene. The two-component product on a duromer resin basis is solvent-free and impresses with its simple and time-saving application process: SX 481 E can for instance be processed without further ado after having been mixed up for up to 45 minutes – at  outside temperatures of 20° C. The respective areas are afterwards fixed in place with contact pressure for 24 hours after which they are securely bonded – and this with a watertight joint. Best of all, however, is the fact that through the use of this adhesive mortar lasting strengths are quickly established: After just one day SX 481 E shows a compressive strength of up to 40 N/mm2.  Within just seven days a bonding strength of 3.3 N/mm2 can be reached. SX 481 E from MC has already proven both its compression shear strength and its bonding effectiveness under special ambient conditions in accordance with EN 12615 and EN 12626. Equally successful did the product fare when tested for durability in accordance with EN 13733. Besides the bonding of construction parts it is also ideally suited to fill outbreaks and unevenness.
