The main feature of our customer magazine’s first issue in 2024 is about our range of special geotechnical injections for soil and ground stabilisation, as well as for lifting concrete slabs and structures. In addition, our MC aktiv once again offers an interesting and inspiring mix of innovations, projects and internal news from the world of MC-Bauchemie.
Unstable subsoil is a major challenge. It leads to subsidence and cracks in structures and, as a result, to a loss of load-bearing capacity or even rendering them unusable. For such cases MC has developed the highly specialised MC-Montan Injekt product family. Its injections help to compensate for difficult ground conditions and reinforce the subsoil to enhance its load-bearing capacities and to lift structures. It is also an ideal measure when a structure needs to be raised or needs to bear more load.
The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, India's longest sea bridge at 21.8 km, was built in Mumbai from 2016 to 2023. To protect the bridge from the harmful environmental influences of the sea, the concrete protection coating EmceColor-flex (known as MC-Color outside India) was used. This coating offers high resistance to salts and chlorides and has become the standard for various structures in India.

In the BEST PRACTICE section, we once again offer you an interesting selection of current projects: from a new floor for the Chemnitz theatre square to a highway in Slovakia, a resistant floor for a Croatian edible oil factory and the production of concrete towers for wind turbines in Spain to the waterproofing of a modern winery in Hungary.
In the sustainability section, we report on building with recycled concrete. Following successful tests, a school building in the city of Hamburg has been constructed using 100 % recycled concrete for the first time – a showcase project for sustainable construction.
