MAIN FEATURE of our magazine: Cement-free into the future

For years, the issue of sustainability has played a key role in the construction industry – and cement manufacturing in particular is increasingly becoming the focus of attention due to the CO₂ emissions that it causes. While cement will continue to play a central role in the future, there is growing interest in sustainable alternatives. Cement-free concretes and mortars from MC-Bauchemie can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 75%. MC is at the forefront of research in this area and is already developing tomorrow’s standards for today with new technologies and sustainable solutions.

BIG PICTURE of our magazine: Mega project “The FOUR Quartier”

From 2025, the heart of Frankfurt am Main's banking district will beat in the new 'FOUR' district, whose pioneering architecture will change the city's skyline. Since 2019, four skyscrapers with a height of up to 233 metres have been under construction. Various products from MC had been applied in this mega-project. These included the special resin MC-DUR TopSpeed, as well as  grouting concretes, mortars and polymer-modified fillers from the Emcekrete, Nafufill and Emcefix product lines.

SUSTAINABILITY focus in our magazine: Climate-positive concrete 

In the sustainability section, we report on climate-positive concrete from the specialist prefabricator Bton Fertigteilwerk which has developed a new process enabling precast concrete that binds more CO₂  than is generated through its production.
