MC-Bauchemie and SwissChem announce joint venture in Egypt

MC-Bauchemie, a leading international manufacturer of construction chemical products, and SwissChem Construction Chemicals, a well-established Egyptian provider of high-quality construction solutions, have entered into a strategic joint venture to strengthen their market presence and operational capabilities in Egypt and the wider region. The agreement was formally signed in February 2025. The joint venture, MC-Bauchemie Construction Chemicals, officially commenced operations in April. This is an important milestone for both companies, demonstrating their commitment to innovation, regional growth and long-term partnerships.
This strategic alliance brings together two family-owned companies united by shared values of quality, innovation, technological leadership as well as long-lasting partnership with their customers. With this joint venture, the two partners aim to unlock new potential by combining SwissChem’s local market expertise with MC-Bauchemie’s global R&D capabilities and comprehensive product portfolio.

With over 40 years in the Egyptian market, SwissChem currently operates with 120 employees across three locations in Egypt. Known for its high-quality concrete admixtures, waterproofing solutions, grouts & anchoring products and flooring systems, SwissChem has established itself as a trusted, mid-sized partner in the Egyptian construction market. In the initial phase, locally produced and distributed products will carry a co-branded identity, marking the transition toward the MC-Bauchemie brand in Egypt. Importantly, the trusted SwissChem team and customer support structure will remain in place to ensure continuity and reliability.
