MC-DUR
ChemProtect is used in the chemical industry for interior and exterior applications. The system has also been proven effective in areas where floors are exposed to both chemical and mechanical stress. As a so-called water protection coating, it meets the requirements of the German Water Resources Act (acc. § 62 WHG).
MC-DUR
ChemProtect is also conductive, which is an important precondition for the safe handling of highly flammable or explosive liquids.
Crack-bridging coating system with chemical protection
If the substrate has additional requirements for crack bridging protection,
MC-DUR
ChemProtect provides reliable coverage. The system is characterised by increased crack bridging of up to 0.4 mm. This is confirmed by a general building authority approval (abZ), based on the applicable German regulations. Therefore, an additional crack-bridging intermediate layer as a technical utility coating in areas prone to cracking and chemical exposure is not necessary. Depending on the design, smooth or non-slip surfaces can be created. If requested, both variants can also be made available in a conductive version in accordance with the approval.
System build-up and components of the coating system
The system comprises an initial coat of primer, MC-DUR 1200 VK. MC-DUR ChemProtect SC is used as a scratch and void filler. Thanks to its flexibility, this product enhances the crack bridging properties of the entire system. For the conductive variant, an additional conductive MC-DUR GLW layer is applied. The topcoat is the new MC-DUR ChemProtect AS epoxy resin coating for both the standard and conductive variants.
